I test walking shoes for a living and my favorite pair of Skechers are reduced by up to 30%

I test walking shoes for Fit&Well‘s best walking shoes guide and have been keeping an eye out for discounts on my favorites. I’ve tested a lot of Skechers shoes, and recently took the Max Cushioning Elite 2.0 for a spin. This pair took the crown as my favorite pair of Skechers, stealing the title from the Go Walk 7.

They are currently discounted by up to 32% off on Amazon, depending on the size. I can’t recommend these shoes enough. They’re a more affordable option than the Hoka Bondi 8 which tops my walking shoe guide, but offer a similar level of comfort and cushioning.

I still reach for my pair of Skechers Max Cushioning Elite 2.0 shoes when I’m going for a walk, because I know the bouncy midsole will keep me comfortable no matter how many miles I cover.

Be aware that Skechers shoes tend to run large. You can afford to buy a half-size down compared with your usual size in Hoka or Brooks shoes.

Another advantage of the Max Cushioning Elite 2.0 is the durable outsole, which is one of the main reasons I prefer it to the Go Walk 7 as my favorite Skechers shoe. While the Go Walk 7 is delightfully comfortable, the outsole tended to pick up pebbles and it wore down remarkably fast after the initial testing period. If you’re looking for a shoe that will last, then the Max Cushioning Elite 2.0 is a better choice.
